China launches six-month campaign against antique crimes

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH) have jointly launched a six-month campaign against crime involving antiques.
Liu Yuzhu, head of the SACH has asked cultural heritage departments at all levels to coordinate on the crackdown, mainly by cooperating with the police.
A set of regulations on the authentication and evaluation of antiques in criminal cases was released earlier this month by the SACH, stating the range, content and procedures for evaluation.
Running till Dec 31, the campaign is the biggest in recent years.
