Recruitment for 39,700 civil service jobs to start soon

China's central ministries and their affiliated government bodies will start recruiting civil servants from Tuesday, with a quota of 39,700 positions this year.
The National Civil Service Administration said candidates can register for the examination from Tuesday morning on its website with registrations ending on Oct 24. The written exam will be held on Dec 1 in several designated cities, according to a notice released by the administration on Monday.
Among the 39,700 available positions, about 27,500 are set for county-level or township authorities. These grassroots posts, especially in remote areas with harsher working environment, will have more flexible requirements on candidates' education degrees and working experience.
Furthermore, over 3,000 positions are open to demobilized military members who have finished undergraduate education and served in the army for over five years. The administration said that 26,700 positions — out of the total 39,700, will recruit new college graduates.
The administration is urging candidates to be honest when joining the examination and to also avoid being cheated by tutoring organizations or individuals. Government will tighten supervision over the market and have no tolerance to cheating during the exam.
