We need to restore the spirit of curiosity to cross borders

It is essential for all of us to restore the spirit of curiosity to cross borders, said Jeffrey Lehman, vice-chancellor of New York University Shanghai. Lehman said when engaging with American parents and prospective students, he always stresses the benefits of studying in China. Here, students will find themselves immersed in a multicultural environment, with half of their classmates being Chinese, and perhaps even a roommate too. Lehman said cross-border studies offer a chance to understand cultural complexities. "I don't think there is really a better way to learn about the world than to go and study in another country," said Lehman.
