The exhibition also highlights an interactive section where the audience members are invited to write down their memories related to illness, trauma and recovery.

Co-established by the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre and French fashion house Chanel in 2021, the Curatorial Award for Photography and Moving Image is one of the first of its kind in China aimed at nurturing exceptional curators working in photography and moving-image art, according to its organizers.

Since its inception, the prize has attracted 196 entries and 20 of them have been selected to be exhibited at the annual Jimei x Arles International Photo Festival. In addition, the award has organized master classes by renowned international curators and a curatorial seminar for photography and moving image, all provided for free for aspiring curators.

The Beijing exhibition runs until June 1 and then will travel to Guangzhou in South China's Guangdong province.
