Auto racing championship kicks off in Ordos

Racers face an 80-kilometer track through the desert, navigating towering sand dunes, deep pits, and winding trails, with frequent changes in driving conditions requiring both technical skill and boldness.

During the opening ceremony, a series of cultural performances, including "Gu Ru Ge", a national intangible cultural heritage, the Ulan Muqir musical performance and a throat singing performance were staged.

Other related events such as a night starry sky concert, food festival and a variety of local tourism promotions are planned during the event.
