NTVU explores collaboration with TüV Rheinland

Xu Sheng, vice-president of Nantong Vocational University, led a delegation of staff members from the School of International Cooperation and Education to visit the Germany-based TüV Rheinland in Shanghai on May 13.

Carlo Humberg, global director of vocational education at TüV Rheinland, and Chen Jundong, general manager of the Greater China Region, provided an insightful overview of the group's development and its international business strategies. They emphasized the group's unique advantages and rich expertise in vocational education. Both leaders expressed a strong interest in collaborating with NTVU to drive innovation in cooperative education and cultivate high-quality talents that meet the evolving demands of global economic development.

Xu expressed sincere gratitude to Humberg and Chen for their warm reception, and detailed the achievements NTVU has made in cooperation and exchanges with international institutions.

He pointed out that the school has long attached great importance to international cooperation and exchange, expanded international cooperation channels, and devoted efforts to enhancing the quality of education and global influence.

By introducing high-quality foreign educational resources, optimizing professional settings, and improving talent training programs, the school has gained valuable experience in international exchanges and cultivating internationalized talents. It aims to introduce high-quality vocational education resources from Germany and explore new ways to grow internationally skilled talents through negotiations with TüV Rheinland this time, according to the vice-president.

Subsequently, both parties discussed curriculum integration, faculty team building, student internships, and employment. Both sides will establish a regular exchange mechanism to promote cooperative education.

During the visit, Humberg and Chen led Xu and his team to tour the Shanghai office and the smart laboratory.
