The fourth Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) will open in Hangzhou on Sept 25, co-hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Zhejiang Provincial Government.

With a renewed focus on making digital trade a new engine for global development, this year's event will feature major upgrades in exhibitions, activities, competitions, and reports.

Spanning 150,000 square meters, the expo will shift from a "1+8" to a "1+5+7" structure — featuring one exhibition, five digital trade segments, and seven specialized industry zones. These will highlight cutting-edge sectors such as embodied robotics, spacetime intelligence, AI applications, and digital mobility, with strong participation from global tech leaders, emerging players, and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

A series of global dialogues, investment matchmaking events, and international collaborations will be held, involving institutions like the International Monetary Fund and United Nations Industrial Development Organization. A new competition matrix will also debut, with contests covering AI songwriting, robotics skills, and e-sports, promoting real-world application of digital innovations.

The expo will release global rankings and insight reports, including the Global Digital Trade Development Report 2025 and the world's first Top 10 Under 35 in Digital Trade list. A newly upgraded Digital Trade Online platform will offer AI-powered multilingual services and global business matching tools.

With just 100 days to go, Hangzhou is gearing up to once again be the world's window into the future of digital trade.
