不同類別的商品稅率不同，因此很難計算政策調整給商品帶來的影響(calculating the impact of the changes on merchandise is difficult given that different categories of goods carry different rates)。根據新政策，對于專門銷售嬰幼兒配方奶粉(infant formula milk)的公司來說，如果單筆銷售額不足500元，就需要多繳付將近12%的稅(pay nearly 12% more in taxes if the sale is under RMB500)。珠寶等奢侈品將額外征收9%-17%不等的稅款(luxury goods like jewelry will see extra taxes between 9% and 17%)。針對個人護理產品和化妝品的稅款則可能有所降低(levies on personal-hygiene and cosmetic products could fall)。

商務部表示，政策調整意在賦予國內外產品同等地位(be intended to put foreign and domestic products on an equal footing)。但分析人士表示，盡管稅收政策有變，他們預期中國消費者對海外產品的強烈需求仍將持續(they expect robust demand from Chinese consumers for overseas products to continue)。

根據教育部6日發布的《關于進一步規范工商管理碩士專業學位研究生教育的意見》，2017年起，EMBA的入學資格考試將納入全國統一的碩士研究生入學考試(national entrance examination for postgraduate studies)，錄取分數線(enrollment cut-off point)將由教育部門統一劃定并向社會公開。

意見還提出，加強研究生課堂考勤(class attendance)、課程考核(course assessments)、論文開題(thesis proposal)和學位論文答辯(oral defense of thesis)過程的監督檢查，嚴禁降低標準授予學位(lower standards for conferring degrees)、"花錢買學位"等行為，嚴肅查處教學評價中的權力尋租(rent-seeking)和不正之風。規范境內外游學、訪學、考察等實踐教學活動，不得以游學、訪學等名義前往景點觀光旅游(sightseeing in the name of study tours or visiting scholar programs)。
